Swim Stroke 3
Likes: I like that you kept a normal side breathing pattern coming in the stroke instead of picking your head up. I also really like the burst of kicking off the wall. This is an absolute must! I also like that you did not breath immediately off the turn. Dislikes: The pulling pattern of your arms as you go into the turn.(the pseudo-breast stroke pull) And I can’t see very well what they are doing as you’re pushing off in this video. From this angle(as you go back down the pool after the turn) it also looks like you are meandering slightly as if you are thinking about changing direction but not. This is the first ive noticed this.

How do you swim a proper butterfly stroke?
I’ve been swimming for quite a while now, but nobody ever bothered to teach me how to swim butterfly. I want to compete in the 200yd IM next season, so I really want to learn now though. What are some tips and things to remember when learning?
