If I don’t swim with the right form, will I still get a good workout?
I haven’t gone swimming in years, but am adding swimming to my workout routine. The pool I joined has a waitlist for lessons. I’m picking up a few tips by watching “how to” videos on You Tube and will perhaps buy a book. But if my form isn’t perfect, will I be hurting my body? I’m not looking to go particularly fast; I just want to improve muscle tone and burn calories–something I can’t currently do with my favorite activities (running, walking) because I’m battling shin splints.

What is a good workout to do in the pool?
My pool is 4 feet deep and 18 feet across. it’s above ground. i love to swim so i was just wondering what would be good exercises to do while i’m in the pool. i want to tone my stomach and thighs. is there any exercises? i do know how to play water polo.
i don’t want huge musceles. i just want my arms and thighs to be firmer.
