The practices demonstrated here by Cheryl and Ian Cross were shown to us by Steven Shaw who we trained under between 1997- 1999. The movements are informed by the Alexander Technique. Am not a professional swimmer, but i like to do it in my free time. At 50 m, I get 45 sec. on front crawl, and 1 min 9 sec for breaststroke. Are these good times? Can my swimming tehnique be dramaticaly improved? Thanks a lot.

In this clip, Ian Cross from Swimming without Stress teaches some fundamental points on the front crawl to a competent breast stroker who’s never been able to swim front crawl. This is her second lesson. She learns a balanced breathing position and finds the stroke from this position, keeping a glide going by staying balanced.
