anybody in narcotics anonymous into competitive age group or masters swim races in ocean or pools or lifeguard

my age is 57 & I still swim alot & go to narcotics anonymous in NJ,USA.
I am looking for friends in NA or AA to swim in races with
or a buddy to practice with in the ocean or pool that is not into drugs or drinking.
Any age is ok. I will sent you my times for various distances.

Is 18 to old to re-start competitive swimming?

I did a little competitive swimming while I was 6. Stopped and continued when I was 13 to 16. Though, through the teenage years, my times weren’t very good. I was wondering, in a two year absence of swimming, is it too late for me to restart competitive swimming and training? Would I be the puffer-fish amongst the sharks?

Is it hard to improve if you start competitive swimming late?

I’m 19 and joined a masters team 6 months ago. I was a beginning swimmer at the time, but right now I’m still unable to go more than 50 meters without stopping unless I have fins on. It’s very dissatisfying to not be able to go further than that.
